Coverage of Wisconsin's Guard Home Launch Events
April 2-4, 2009

 

Three articles covered the launch of Wisconsin's "Bring the Guard Home! It's the Law" campaign. One event on April 2, covered in the New Richmond News, supported a bill in the state legislature which would require the governor to review federal callup orders for their legality before Wisconsin National Guard troops are deployed overseas. Two TV news websites featured the April 4th march against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and against Wisconsin National Guard deployments to those theaters.
