Location:

the historic
Orpheum Theatre
216 State Street
Madison, Wisconsin

Full Description:

Please join us for an evening of Zinn!

If Howard Zinn is right that, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism," then Zinn himself is undoubtedly one of America's greatest patriots.  On Thursday, October 5th, 2006, Howard Zinn comes to Madison, Wisconsin's historic Orpheum Theatre to receive the Havens Center's Lifetime Achievenment Award. The award ceremony, and Zinn's lecture, will be free to the public. All contributions will go equally to the work of the Havens Center, the Progressive, and Liberty Tree.

Please join Zinn in doing the patriotic thing: Become a $100 Sponsor of "An Evening with Zinn"? . . . or go a few better and become a $250 Major Sponsor.  Or, if a $50, $75, or $20 (student/low-income) contribution is reasonable for your budget, make that contribution instead.

Contributors are invited to the 5:00pm pre-lecture reception with Zinn in the classic Orpheum Lobby Restaurant and are guaranteed prime seating for Zinn's lecture.  Sponsors will also receive thank you gifts.
